Last night was the annual GQ Men of the Year Awards at The Royal Opera House in London. Tom had the honor of receiving the Legend Award presented to him by Grace Jones.

22:15 The inimitable Grace Jones takes the stage. "Well I'll never live that one down will I? The hula hoop that is," she says, "Everywhere I go everyone does this..." [mimics hula motion] --- 22:17 Grace presents the Legend award to her namesake Sir Tom Jones (no relation). He's at his best in black tie. As he told us: "Once you see a real bow tie tied, it's definitely got a flair to it." Along with the award, Grace also presents him with her underwear. "It's great to be in London," says Sir Tom, "but at 72 it's great to be anywhere. It just feels wonderful."
Tom was looking sharp in Richard James of Saville Row, styled by his personal stylist of 15 years Peter Hawker. Peter tweeted the moment here.
It was a fabulous evening with some great recipients and Tom was noted as one of the 10 most stylish men of the evening. Not bad for 72!
