Tom moves his family and residence to America, buying Dean Martin's house, a beautiful, classic Tudor-style mansion in Bel Air.

Tom and Gordon Mills start a new record, agency and management company.
1969 - 71 - Trans-Atlantic Television
The hit TV show, 'This is Tom Jones' airs on both ABC-TV in America and ITV in the UK. At the time, Tom's contract is the biggest ever signed. The show would become a true classic with the coolest artists and designs of the 1970s.
1965 - 68 - Chart Success
Tom releases a string of hit singles and albums including 'What's New Pussycat', 'Thunderball', 'Green, Green Grass of Home', 'Help Yourself' and 'Delilah'.
1965 - Big in America
First appearance on the top-rated American TV programme 'The Ed Sullivan Show'.
1965 - Number 1
Despite the first single not making an impact on the charts, a second single, 'It’s Not Unusual' is released. The BBC refuses to play it, but offshore pirate station Radio Caroline picks it up. On March 1st the single reaches number one in the charts.
1964 - Snaped up!
Radio 1 DJ Jimmy Saville advises the band to make a demo disc. He takes this to Decca Records and a contract is signed.
1963 - A rocking start
Forms his own group, Tommy Scott and the Senators. Spotted by fellow Welshman and harmonica player Gordon Mills, who later becomes his manager.
1957 - Home Making
Tom and Linda Trenchard marry and have a son Mark. The young couple move in with in-laws.
1956 - Finding his way
Quits school with no qualifications and takes a variety of jobs including builder’s laborer and door-to-door vacuum salesman.
1950's - Seeds are Sown
Throughout his teens and into his twenties, Tom listens to lots of BBC Radio, which plays American blues, R&B and rock'n'roll.
